The answer is: Higher;Lower

During financial crisis, companies would struggle to survive since there would be less people that can afford to buy their product. In response, many of them are forced to cut off their employees. This would cause higher number in unemployment.

When there are less employees, the amount of productivity that the company could achieve would be lower. This would cause their profit to be lower.
