If you are talking about what is in between the two sets of parentheses then the answer would be multiplication hope that helped

the answer is x^2 -7x +12
so (x-4)(x-3) multiply each one
x*x is x^2 x*-3 is -3x
-4*x is -4x and -4*-3 is 12
combine like terms is -4x+-3x is -12x
put it all together now.
x^2 - 7x + 12
