Salt glands allow desert animals to reduce their water loss due to Urination.

Salt glands are organs for eliminating excess salts and by doing that these glands are responsible for the regulation of the concentration of sodium, chloride and potassium concentrations in the blood.

Salt glands assist in osmotic regulations. During expiration, its products create some water, thus the salt glands will improve the body to sustain the water produced. Transpiration, occur in plants, it the deterioration in water through the stomata. Urination is a process of dismissal of urea by animals. Salt glands assist in the administration of osmotic pressure in the body fluid to restrict too much watery urine alternatively and produce the small amount and concentrated urine thus preserving water.
