Let the number of hours be x.
At $8 per hour, by working x hours, you'll earn 8x.
You already have $30, so by working x hours, you will have
8x + 30
You want 8x + 30 to equal $358.
8x + 30 = 358
8x = 328
x = 41
Answer: You must work 41 hours.
