(25)/(40) = (25 / 5)/(40 / 5) = (5)/(8)

Answer: GCF = 5

To find GCF:

25 = 5 x 5
40 = 5 x 8

GCF ⇒ Find the common factors.
Here, there is only 5 that is common. So 5 is the GCF.
