I did this on math nation and the answer is 2.7. Just want to let everyone in the future know!

We are going to continue the process; this time we are going to evaluate both functions at x=2.4:
For our first function:

f(x)=2x-5

f(2.4)=2(2.4)-5

f(2.4)=4.8-5

f(2.4)=-0.2

For our second function:

g(x)= x^(2) -6

g(2.4)=(2.4)^2-6

g(2.4)=5.76-6

g(2.4)=-0.24
To the nearest tenth:

g(2-4)=-0.2

We can conclude that the positive solution of our functions to the nearest tenth is
x=2.4.
