Sodium (Na) and potassium (K) are in the same group in the periodic table. Sodium is in the 11th position. How many valence electrons does potassium have?

all elements in group one have one valence electrons, so potassium and sodium would both have one valence electron. this trend is continued into group 2, group 13, group 14, and so on.
