The battle of The Alamo was a very important part of the Texas Revolution. The Mexican ruler Antonio López de Santa Anna Pérez de Lebrón believed that he should own the Texas area. The Texans lost the battle at the Alamo. Effect: Got the Texans riled up to win the Alamo back
