The temperature at south pole was 34° at 8 a.m.At 3 p.m it was -50°. By how many degrees did the temperature drop?

Bring both of them to zero. -50 is 50 away from zero, and 34 is 34 away from zero. 34+50=84

84 degrees because you add the 34 to the 50 and thats how much it dropped
