The correct answer is A. Conformity.

The development of the suburbs really started to take off after World War II. Men who came back from serving in the war started to settle down and have families. With the decision to have families comes the room needed to raise families.

With this information in mind, William Levitt began to build suburbs using his knowledge of building bunks for the military. In these so called Levittowns, houses looked almost identical. Millions of Americans moved to these types of suburbs during the 1950's and 1960's. All of the houses were extremely similar in look and the people who lived their began to value the same types of modern amenities and forms of entertainment. This causes the conformist culture of the 1950's.
