Invasive species reproduce rapidly in a new habitat due to the lack of parasites and predators that would naturally control their population growth.

The invasive species are non-native species that were introduced to the native ecosystems due to natural calamities or by human activities. Examples are, the Zebra mussels that affect the native creatures of the great lakes in the US, Kudzu vines that grow rapidly to cover the forest canopies, Burmese python that is considered a pet negatively affected the native species of rodents when accidentally left in the wild.
