Use distance formula:
d = √( (x₁ - x₂)² + (y₁ - y₂)² )
Here you have x₁ = 5, x₂ = 2, y₁ = 5, y₂ = 9
So that would be √( (5-2)² + (5-9)² ) = √( (3)² + (-4)² ) = √(9+16) = √25 = 5
Final answer:
5 units
