Hello!

Exosmosis is the passage of water through a cell membrane (semipermeable)toward a surrounding medium of lower concentration. Therefore acell will display endosmosis when it shrinks by losing water when placed in a water or display exosmosis when it swells up or enlargens when placed in a water.
