In the Declaration of Independence, people have unalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Unalienable rights recognize that everyone is naturally endowed by their Creator and these certain rights cannot be given away. In other words, some rights derived from Nature`s God can not be taken by the government (are inherent in each individual and consequently can not be abandoned).
