Why do companies want employee who have good public speaking skills

Employees within a company set standards and are a representation of the company they work for. Any company, should want well spoken employees so that they can represent the brand well, communicate with coworkers effectively and if they are in a position to work with clients - communicate with them well. Public speaking can be used to promote the brand and purpose of a company to gain new customers, if their employees are not well spoken they may not be able to convey the information appropriately.

It depends on the company but most want someone who will go out and help present the ad, making presentations and talking.
