The condensation reaction in which Carboxylic Acid reacts with Alcohol in the presence of catalyst to produce Ester is called as Esterification.

Synthesis of n-pentyl pentanoate is carried out by reacting Pentanoic Acid (Carboxylic Acid) with 1-Pentanol (Alcohol) through esterification reaction.
