The forces or pressures that promote or counteract glomerular filtration are; passive, non-selective, hydro-static pressure that forces fluids through the glomerular membrane, Net filtration pressure results from the glomerular hydrostatic pressure combined with Colloid osmotic pressure and capsular hydrostatic pressure. The glomerular hydrostatic pressure is the pushing force while the Colloid osmotic pressure provides the sucking power and the Capsular hydrostatic pressure is the pressure exerted by the filtrate.
