Area of parallelogram is: base times height.

where base is 9.8 and height is 5.6, so that gives us:
9.8 times 5.6 for an area of 54.88

Now that we have the area of 54.88, what would happen if we changed the base to 10? Now the new height is "h".

We still know that the area is 54.88, so we have the equation:

54.88 = 10 * h
Divide both sides by 10 to get:

h = 5.488 inches

9.8*5.6 because
A=b*h
A=5.6*9.8
A=54.88
