The answer is X = 1 and Y = -2.

You have the Y, so input the equation next to why in the formula before to find x.

Like this:

x + x^2 - 3 = -1
2x^2 = 2
x = 1

Then input the answer of that, 1, into the first equation (y) to get your y, which would be -2. To check, input both the x and y into the bottom equation and see if it matches up to -1.

Hope this helps!
