A cylinder has a height that is 5 times as large as its radius. The lateral area of the cylinder is 360π square units. What is the length of the radius of the cylinder?

Let
x----------> the height of the cylinder
y--------> the radius of the cylinder

we know that
[lateral area of the cylinder]=2*pi*r*h------> 2*pi*y*x=360*pi
2*pi*y*x=360------> pi*y*x=180------> equation 1
x=5y -----> equation 2
substitute 2 in 1
pi*y*x=180------> pi*y*5y=180-----> 15.70y²=180----> y²=(180/15.70)
y=√11.46-----> y=3.39 units

the answer is
the length of the radius of the cylinder is 3.39 units
