This would actually be known to be called either sex cells, or in other words, gametes. This word "gametes" would be explained as a term to eggs, or even the sperm the would collect in the body of a male. And therefore, this would actually be the correct term to describe this.

A. spores
B. pollinators
C. body cells
D. gametes

The correct answer is gametes.

The eggs and the sperm are collectively known as Gametes. The sperms are known to be the male gamete and egg are known to be the female gamete.

In case of sexual reproduction the male and female gamete fuse together to form zygote. This zygote goes under development to form a complete individual.
