industrialization, here’s why he promoted the idea of the new south and the Atlanta cotton exposition . That was all to prove that Georgia was transitioning from an agricultural based economy and becoming more industrialized. It can’t be agriculture nor diversity in elections nor new businesses. He helped with northern investments too .
