Hello!
So you have to find how much they will spend when going up by 10% every year
You can solve this by multiplying the cost by 1.10
2000 * 1.10 =2200
They spend 2200 after 1 year
2200 * 1.10 = 2420
They spend $2420 after 2 years
2420 * 1.10 = 2662
They spend $2662 after 3 years
2662 * 1.10 = 2928.2
They spend $2928.2 after 4 years
Add these up
2000 + 2200 + 2662 + 2928.2 = 9790.2
They will spend $9790.2 in 4 years
The answer is 9790.2
