Before the European discovery of the Americans, there were Indigenous languages and cultures in the Americas that developed over the years.

Some of the languages are still spoken today: Quechua, Nahuatl, Maya.

The religions were very varied, but one common aspect was (sadly) human sacrifice (especially among the Nahuas), One example God, again of the Nahuas, was Tlaloc.

After the discovery, most of the people in the Americas were converted to Christianity and learnt the languages of the European powers: English, Spanish, Portuguese, French and Dutch
