It would be “Upwelling Currents” this is a is vertical current to the coastline, and it brings up nutrients from the bottom of the sea floor, to the ocean surface. (Also that explains why the water is cold)

Answer:

Upwelling current

Step-by-step explanation:

The Upwelling current usually refers to the ocean currents that bring the cold deeper ocean water moves upward towards the surface of the ocean water body. This process is known as upwelling and it takes place due to the two most important factors namely, the wind and the earth's rotation. This helps in the uplifting of the mineral and nutrients from the deeper zone to the top portion of the ocean, thereby resulting in the growth of abundant aquatic organisms.
