Why do plant celss have chloroplasts and animal cells not?

Chloroplasts are used to help plants work with photosynthesis. Because humans can eat and create their own energy, they don’t need chloroplasts. Plants however, don’t have the ability to eat. Therefore the chloroplast is there to convert sunlight into energy.
