Split them into triangles and rectangles.

15 x 9 = 135
(6 x 3) / 2 = 9
135 - 9 = 126

This gives you the area of the rectangle with the triangle taken out of it.

15 - 6 = 9
(9 x 6) / 2 = 27

This gives you the area of the triangle at the top.

Add these together: 27 + 126 = 153, and that's your answer!
