Let
D-------> the deep of the chips
W------> the wide of the chips
L-------> the long of the chips
we know that
[volume of wood chips]=D*W*L-------> L=[volume of wood chips]/(D*W)
so
L=[volume of wood chips]/(D*W)----->L= 27/(6*3)-----> L=1.5 ft
the answer is
1.5 ft
