The following sequence must be followed for re-energization when a machine is to be tested or repositioned during servicing
1. The machine should be cleared of tools and materials
2. Employees should be removed from the area around the machines.
3. Lockout or tagout devices should be removed as specified in the standard.
4. Energize the machine, then proceed with the testing or positioning.
5. De-energize all systems
6. Isolate the machine from the energy source
7. Energy-control measures should be reaapplied if additional service or maintenance is required.
