The delayed second generation may have reinforce the the exclusion of the Chinese American community that began as a reaction to the overt discrimination (obvious way of forbidding a particular type of person) of the dominant group. This is because of the population trends and the delayed second generation and the scarcity of the Chinese women in the United States of America (U.S.A.) delayed the second generation.
