The measure of an angle is seventeen times the measure of a supplementary angle. What is the measure of each angle?

Let the angles be x and y. y is the supplementary angle of x, so is represented by 180-x = y. y=17x. Find x and then find y.

180-x = 17 x
180 = 18 x
x = 10 degrees
y = 170 degrees.
