Line a is parallel to line b:
m∠1=m∠ 5, because they are correspondent angles, then:
2x+44=5x+38
Solving for x:
2x+44-2x-38=5x+38-2x-38
6=3x
3x=6
Dividing both sides of the equation by 3
3x/3=6/3
x=2
Answer: Third option: 2
