To find the number of books that were in Ronita's book bag originally, you will find how many book were added to the table by subtracting 5 and 3. She added 2 books.
2 books are 1/3 of her total books. In math this can be written as:
1/3x
=
2
1/3 1/3
x= 6 books
Ronita had 6 books in her book bag.
