Triangle ABC is congruent to triangle DEF. If side AB is 3 units and side BC is 4 units, find the length of side DF.

With what we have here, there is not enough information.

Given that there are two congruent triangles ABC and DEF.

Given that AB = 3 units

Given that BC = 4 units


We know that corresponding sides and angles of congruent triangles are always equal. So we get:

AB=DE

BC=EF

AC=DF


Plug the given values we get:


3=DE

4=EF

AC=DF


We have to find value of DF which is corresponding side of AC but value of AC is not given. It it were given that ABC is right angle triangle then we may have applied Pythogorean theorem to find the side AC and hence DF. Any other information that can be used to find third side AC is missing.


So the final answer will be "Not Enough Information".
