Increase the release of digestive enzymes and bile

Generally the hormones secretin and cholecystokinin which are released by duodenal enteroendocrine cells will increase the release of digestive enzymes and bile. These hormones control various functions of the digestive organs. They increase the release of digestive enzymes and stimulate the gallbladder to contract thereby releasing stored bile into the intestine.
