DNA is ultimately responsible for the proteins that are reproduced in an organism. What is the process (name and describe it) that produces proteins, and what are the roles of chromosomes, DNA, and genes in this process?

The process that produces proteins is called translation. Translation is where a ribosome uses the stored information in messenger RNA which links together the sequence of amino acids which form proteins! The roles of the chromosomes, DNA, and genes is they carry the genetic code to determine the organisms characteristics!
