Some volcanoes erupt with slow and continuous lava flows, some explode sending cinder, pumice, and ash into the air to fall to the earth and some volcanoeshave lava flows along with a release of cinder, pumice and ash. Earthquakes are caused by the constant motion of the Earth's surface.
