find median, in this group median is 1
find Q1 which is median of lower half, in this group Q1 = 1/4

find Q3, which is median of upper half, in this group Q3 = 5/4

IQR is Q3-Q1

IQR = 5/4 - 1/4 = 4/4 = 1
