Jim Crow laws set the South back for racial equality. It caused all African Americans in the South disadvantages, such as having to face segregation and having to work not as desirable jobs. However, during WW2, the Great Migration occurred where a million African Americans migrated to the North to escape Jim Crow laws and work factory jobs.
