Most of the 1830 revolutions failed to meet their objectives.

The conservative domination of politics in Europe, in place since the defeat of Napoleon in 1815, continued in spite of the 1830 revolutionary movements. In France, where the revolutionary activity began, they did succeed in replacing the old monarchy with a "bourgeois monarch" in the person of Louis-Philippe, but even in France the gains were limited.
