The answer is March and September. This period is referred to as the equinox when the sun is overhead the equator. The days and nights are equal all over the earth. June 21 and December 21, on the other hand, are the date-months when the two solstices (when the earth is at the extreme north and south latitude latitudes) occur on earth.
