A plant cuticle enhances the survival of plant on land by preventing the loss of water. Plant cuticle is a protecting film covering epidermis of the leaves, young shoots and other aerial plant organs without periderm. Its a waxy layer that covers the leaves of all plant species and helps in reducing the rate of water loss from the leaf surface.
