The compound described above is Coenzyme.
Coenzymes are small molecules which can not catalyze a reaction by themselves, however the help enzymes to catalyze reactions. Many coenzymes are derived from vitamins. Certain enzymes need coenzymes to bind to the substrate for the reaction to take place.
