How did world war 2 affect life on the home front?

- The war caused inflation thus making it hard for poorer families to afford food due to the rising prices
- The people had to ration a lot. (Food, fuel etc...)
- Demand for war products rose (ie. ammunition) so factory employees worked all day everyday (unemployment rates dropped a lot during this time)
- Women found jobs as electricians, welders, riveters etc...
- Tons of posters were put out to demonize the enemy
