The longest side is the hypotenuse and the other two sides are generally called the legs, but if you’re looking at it from a trigonometry standpoint then it’s the opposite side (side that’s across from the angle you’re using) and the adjacent side (side that’s next to the angle you’re using that isn’t the hypotenuse).
