The Bible.

Lincoln paraphrased Genesis 3:19.
The words above were spoken by Abraham Lincoln at his second swearing in ceremony as President of the United States. The Civil War was nearing its end and the nation would, he hoped, find a way to heal. It is as if we've forgotten the words of Lincoln and Teddy Roosevelt who championed the worker, free or slave, and challenged the elite to do their fair share. The bigger the divide, the bigger their share.
