During which strokes does the piston move downward in a four-stroke internal combustion engine?

I believe that it is the third stroke

it moves downward to open up the exhaust at the 1st stroke downward, and the intake at the 2nd, the 1st stroke upward is compression, and the 2nd is for the power.
