Power and oil. TheY claimed that Sadam Hussain Had Weapons of mass destruction. that was the excuse to go there.

Bush's administration warned that Saddam Hussein had WMD's weapon of mass destruction. The United States wanted to gain United Nations support for an invasion over Iraq but could not be achieved.

In March 2003 United states led the operation of "Iraqi freedom".
