X = 13+Y

Substitute X into Equation 1:

4(13+Y)+2Y=10
52+4Y+2Y=10
52+6Y=10
6Y=10-52

Y=-7

Substitute Y into Equation 2:

X-(-7)= 13
X+7=13
X=6

Therefore: Y= -7; X=6
