Hi there!

Photosynthesis is the process of which a plant collects and converts sunlight into energy for it to grow and develop.

For example, a flower's leaves may preform photosynthesis.

Photosynthesis is not present in humans and most animals.

Hope this helps!

the process by which green plants and some other organisms use sunlight to synthesize foods from carbon dioxide and water. Photosynthesis in plants generally involves the green pigment chlorophyll and generates oxygen as a byproduct.
